CEPS
The Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS) is a leading European think tank specialising in EU policy, governance, digital transformation, and democratic innovation. Through its research, CEPS contributes to debates on citizen participation, deliberative democracy, transparency, and the responsible use of emerging technologies in public administration.
INNOVADE engages with CEPS within the wider research ecosystem working on the future of democracy in the digital age. Several CEPS projects align closely with our objectives:
- COCTEAU – explores how digital tools and participatory methods can strengthen democratic engagement and co-creation in governance.
- ORBIS – Augmenting Participation, Co-creation, Trust and Transparency in Deliberative Democracy at all Scales – examines how deliberative democratic practices can be enhanced across local, national, and European levels.
- AI4Gov-X – focuses on the responsible and ethical use of artificial intelligence in public administration.
- Mapping Civil Dialogue Practices in the EU Institutions – analyses how EU institutions engage with citizens and stakeholders and how these processes can be improved.
Through exchanges, workshops, and shared discussions, collaboration with CEPS contributes to a broader, interdisciplinary understanding of how digital tools and AI can support democratic participation while safeguarding transparency, accountability, and fundamental rights.
This connection reinforces INNOVADE’s commitment to developing digital democracy solutions that are technically robust, ethically grounded, and aligned with European democratic values.
