AI, Big Data & Democracy Task Force

Together with its sister projects AI4Deliberation and PERYCLES, funded under "Digital democracy" call, INNOVADE has joined the AI, Big Data and Democracy Task Force to harness the benefits of clustering and collective expertise. This task force is a collaborative initiative comprising four different EU-funded projects, supporting the European Commission’s commitment to “Europe in a changing world – inclusive, innovative and reflective societies.” While AI4Gov, KT4D, and ITHACA are funded under the Horizon call ‘Artificial Intelligence, Big Data and Democracy’, ORBIS is funded under ‘The Future of Democracy and Civic Participation’. This diversity of funding schemes enriches the cluster by ensuring that each project contributes unique perspectives, methodologies, and disciplinary insights. Together, the projects are developing innovative solutions to foster and safeguard democracy and civic engagement in the face of challenges posed by AI and Big Data. This joint effort aims to equip policymakers and citizens with tools for evidence-based decision-making, leveraging cutting-edge developments in emerging information technologies while also considering the needs of vulnerable groups and respecting cultural diversity.
